Description

A Clinical Nurse specialising in HVTI (Heart, Vascular, Thoracic institute) is required to work at one of the worlds leading providers of specialist medical care. Working at a state-of-the-art Centre you will be working closely with your friendly colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and efficient care for all patients and relatives. 

Full time 37.5 hours Mon – Fri 09:00-17:00

 Duties and Responsibilities of a clinical nurse specialist – HVTI  

  • Perform pre-procedure or pre-surgery assessments, identify tests required, review test results and manage issues/concerns.
  • Act as a key worker for a clinical caseload, working to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support of patients.
  • The HVTI clinical nurse specialist will be responsible for the overall clinical nurse specialist service and the future development of the management team within this area.
  • Work closely with the Heart and vascular institute chair in developing appropriate standards.
  • Use skills and expertise in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, the clinical nurse specialist will provide physical and emotional support to their patients, coordinate their care services and inform them on clinical and practical issues associates with their illness.

 Requirements of a clinical nurse specialist – HVTI

  • You will be registered on the NMC register
  • A minimum of 6 months UK experience is essential
  • Post Graduate qualification within HVTI
  • Experience in preadmission assessment of patients within HVTI
  • Suitable experience working as a clinical nurse specialist with demonstrable clinical expertise within HVTI
