Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 8a Psychologist to work in a private practice based in Warrington, Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to join an innovative MDT, treating a personality disorder caseload. The post is available to start as soon as possible, and you will be required to work Full-time hours each week in a permanent role.
The successful Psychologist will be participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring that the patient is fully engaged in their care pathway and supporting clinical team working, including direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes. The postholder will also support the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of working. The applying psychologist will need previous experience in trauma therapy and other therapies such as DBT, CFT, and familiarity with Intellectual Disability and Neurodiversity.
Rates: £53,000 – £59,000
Duties will include:
- Devise and monitor appropriate treatment programmes, including therapy, counselling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors, psychiatrists and occupational therapists
- Offer therapy and treatments for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions
- Develop and evaluate service provision for clients
- Provide consultation to other professions, encouraging a psychological approach in their work
Candidates applying must have HCPC registration, previous experience in a similar setting.
