Are you an experienced Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist looking for your next exciting role?

 

Pulse’s NHS client in Reading, Berkshire is now seeking an experienced band 8a highly specialist clinical/counselling psychologist to join their fantastic team as soon as possible, on a part-time basis. The candidate appointed will need to provide a high-quality specialist psychology service to clients with long term conditions across agreed sectors of care. The candidate will also need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Providing specialist psychological assessment for patients under the care of the relevant RBH Services
  • Providing specialist psychological intervention to patients under the care of these RBH services, focusing on issues around management, coping and adjustment, with a view to: optimising helpful coping, psychological well-being, self-management and health related quality of life, managing symptoms including pain and fatigue; reducing patient distress and to provide psychological support to family members/carers.
  • Liaising or working jointly with other services e.g. adult mental health teams, offering healthcare to individuals on under the care of the RBH services as required.
  • Providing necessary psychological input into the relevant RBH MDTs on a routine basis including leading on the psychological perspective in and attending MDT meetings
