Pulse are currently seeking a determined band 8a Pain Management clinical psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s Adult Community Mental Health team within a fantastic NHS trust based in Manchester. This position will be available for the appointed Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working part-time hours for an ongoing period of 12 weeks.
The Pain Management Clinical Psychologist will undertake assessments, formulate care plans and deliver therapeutic interventions for adults with complex mental health needs. The successful clinical psychologist will be a qualified psychologist or therapist offering psychological therapy to patients with persistent pain. Facilitation of group-based sessions co-delivered with physiotherapist colleagues, attendance at pain MDT, consultation and support to physio colleagues on patient-related issues.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
- Be HCPC registered
- Have a proven track record in adult mental health
- Be analytical and show good attention to detail
