Band 8a – Clinical/counselling Psychologist – acute adult inpatients – Wadhurst

Pulse is currently seeking a determined Band 8a Clinical/counselling Psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s acute adult inpatients team, within a fantastic private trust based in Wadhurst, Sussex. This position will be available for the assigned Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working part-time hours for an initial period of 3 months.

The Clinical Psychologist will undertake assessments, formulate care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions for adults with complex mental health needs. The post holder will be part of a specialist service to people with a mental disorder/personality disorder through developing specialist psychological formulations and assessments and formulating plans for their psychological treatments. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with people with complex mental health needs, where psychosis and severe interpersonal difficulties are part of their presentation and be familiar with working through a trauma-informed lens to understand what has happened in the life of the individual and to use evidence-based interventions to alleviate distress.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
• Be HCPC registered
• Have a proven track record in adult mental health
• Be analytical and show good attention to detail
