Pulse Nursing Agency are looking for a Band 8 Modern Matron to work at a Private Hospital in Central London across their Oncology (Cancer Care) service.
This hospital is a world-leading provider of private cancer care, offering first-class diagnostic, treatment and supporting services in a state-of-the-art cancer centre.
Pay rates are £40 per hour with shifts available Monday-Friday
Working as a Modern Matron you will:
Provide leadership for the nursing staff across the Cancer Care service.
To be successful in this role you should have the below:
- In-depth experience in Cancer nursing leadership role Band 7 equivalent
- Mentorship course
- Clinical supervision training
- Excellent interpersonal skills; active listening, negotiation, assertiveness, negotiation, decision making, social awareness
- Active involvement in quality improvement change process within previous working environments/ teams.
- Good verbal, written and communication skills
- Good level of IT skills – Outlook (email), word, excel
- Ability to network internally and externally
- Excellent organisational skills
- The application of the NMC The Code
- Ability to; coach, guide, supervise, teach
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and meetings
- Able to secure the co-operation of colleagues at all levels
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
