Our client is currently seeking a band 7 Team Lead to join their fantastic team within their NHS trust based in Essex. This position will be available for the successful candidate to start immediately, working full-time hours each week for an ongoing duration.
The post holder will be responsible and provide effective leadership for a perinatal mental health clinical team providing a high quality service within the resources available within a defined area, and specifically to deliver on areas such as management of referrals including delivery of care, performance monitoring and management, line management and supervision of staff.
Applying candidates must have:
- RMN or equivalent professional qualification.
- Qualification at degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding issues and child protection requirements/legislation and how these apply to the role.
- In-depth knowledge of community mental health services.
- In depth knowledge of wider policy and service issues relating to mental health.
- Experience of leading teams
- Experience of managing and supervising staff.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through formal presentation to others.
- Negotiation skills in the management of conflict across a range of situations, including the resolution of complaints which may involve diffusion of hostility and aggression
- Experience of managing budgets
- Experience of social care management
- Experience of service user and carer initiatives and engagement
- Ability to empathise with clients, carers and families and colleagues, ensuring that effective communication is achieved.
