Pulse have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Team Lead Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Boston, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Team Lead Occupational Therapist, you will work across the acute medical wards including oncology, coronary care, acute medicine and the respiratory wards.

Your main responsibilities as a Team Lead Occupational Therapist:

  • Lead the delivery of Occupational Therapy provision within the Clinical Speciality on the site ensuring good communication links with Team Leads in the other teams and sites
  • Contribute to find innovative discharge solutions and contribute to a system wide MDT approach
  • Provide leadership, supervision and training of Occupational Therapy staff 
  • Provide highly specialist assessment, intervention planning, delivery and evaluation of progress towards goals taking account of people’s occupations, role, environment and lifestyle within the clinical speciality
  • Maintain a clinical caseload, with clinical activity accounting for between 60-75% of working hours

What we are looking for in a Team Lead Occupational Therapist:

  • HCPC registered
  • BSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of post-graduate courses at M level/ research/CPD relevant to the speciality Practice Education accreditation
  • Very good knowledge and awareness of OT practice within the clinical speciality of stroke and/or neurological conditions
  • Ability to be supportive of others including peers, own team and managers and demonstrate ability to develop and maintain interdisciplinary team working
  • Training, teaching and presentation skills
