Band 7 – Specialist Occupational Therapist – Neurological Rehabilitation – London

Are you an Occupational Therapist who specialises in Neurological Rehabilitation?

Our private client is looking for an experienced and caring Band 7 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join their Neurological Rehabilitation team, based in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours on a permanent basis.

The successful Occupational Therapist be responsible for department training and contribute to training and development of all staff as well as provide support and guidance for junior staff and advice with complex cases where necessary assisting in the treatment of such cases. The postholder will also ensure risk management and safety procedures are in place for the OT Department and are adhered to and provide highly specialist OT intervention for complex caseload in their specialist area.

Rates: £39,605 per annum

To be considered for this role you must:

• Be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
• Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in Occupational Therapy
• Have previous experience within an NHS neuro setting
• Hold a full driver’s licence and have own vehicle
• Be able to develop a rapport with patients
• Have excellent time management and communication skills

Duties within this role will include:

• Carrying out brain injury assessments
• Working within a multidisciplinary team
• Providing support for carers and family – advice on care plans after discharge
• Setting realistic client centred goals to help with development
• Neuro splinting and casting
