Band 7 – Physiotherapist – Surgical – Prescot

Pulse is recruiting for a compassionate Band 7 Physiotherapist specialising in general surgery to join a fantastic NHS trust based in Prescot, Lancashire. This post is to start working full-time hours for an initial 3-month period as soon as possible. Physiotherapist to work in the Critical care and surgery therapy team covering the surgical assessment unit. NHS experience would be essential. Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Functional ability
• Transfers
• Daily living skills through the use of observation
• Standardized assessments
• Assessment within the patient’s own home
• Assessment for specialist adaptive equipment
• Facilitate independent living
• Actively engage carers/families in assessments
• Wheelchair assessments
• Referring to community colleagues for community-based assessments

Skills and experience needed:

• Current HCPC registration
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• Relevant degree/qualifications in Physiotherapy
