Pulse is now seeking a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join their palliative care centre based in London. The role is available to start ASAP, offering full-time hours per week for an ongoing period.
The postholder will undertake highly specialised physiotherapy assessments of adult patients with specialist palliative care needs who may have a highly complex presentation and to produce specialist individual treatment plans as well as provide highly specialised advice to Hospice and other staff to facilitate the management of patients in inpatient, day care and outpatient community services. The successful Physiotherapist will be instrumental in developing the organisation’s rehabilitative approach to palliative care.
Duties within this role will include:
- Working with older people
- Goal setting and rehabilitation
- Treating patients with chronic disability and progressive conditions
- Working within a hospice setting
- Treating for breathlessness
- Working with a wide range of neurological conditions
Skills and Experience needed:
- HCPC registration
- Relevant degree/qualifications (i.e. in palliative care)
