Band 7 – Physiotherapist – Oncology – London

Are you an Physiotherapist who specialises in Oncology?

Our client is now recruiting for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join their well-established NHS trust based in London. The post is available to start on 05.10.23, offering full time hours per week for an ongoing period.

As a Band 7 Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients by providing specialized occupational therapy services. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement tailored treatment plans, helping patients regain independence, manage symptoms, and improve their overall well-being. Applying therapists must have significant post graduate Oncology experience in Outpatient setting, private experience is desirable and lymphoedema qualification is also desirable.

The candidate’s duties will include:

• Relaxation techniques with patients
• Working with a client to help them achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life
• Supporting carers and families
• Discharge planning
• Being professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of own work, including management of patients and other professional activities
• Undertake therapy assessments and continually develop a high service for patients
• Assess and take in to account deterioration
• Work within a multidisciplinary team
