Description

Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist specialising in strokes and neurological conditions?

Pulse is seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team at a well-established NHS trust in Barnet, Hertfordshire. The role is available for the successful therapist to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week for an initial 3-month period.

As a Stroke Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in the rehabilitation and recovery of individuals who have experienced strokes. You will provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to promote independence, enhance daily functioning, and improve the overall quality of life for our patients. Applying candidate must have relevant specialist B7 level clinical experience working in acute inpatient stroke + essential for role as well as experience in leading a team.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Initial assessments/brain injury assessments
  • Rehabilitation
  • Help to develop skills
  • Increase range of motion
  • Providing support and advice to carers and family members
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Managing own caseload

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Have significant neuro/stroke experience
  • Be patient and communicative towards patients with a range of neuro conditions
  • Have relevant CPD/Training
