Description

An exciting new opportunity has opened for a Qualified High-Intensity Band 7 CBT Therapist to join a dynamic talking therapies NHS team based in Greater Manchester. The appointed Cognitive behavioural therapist will be able to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours each week. For an initial period.

The post holder will join the Step 3 CBT provision within the Greater Manchester Mental Health Primary Care Psychological Therapies Service (Bolton Primary Care Psychological Therapies Service), an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) reporting service. They will provide appropriate cognitive behavioural assessment, formulation and high-intensity interventions, both remotely and in person on a face-to-face basis.

To be considered for this role applying therapists must have:

  • A post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Full BABCP accreditation
  • Completed LTC training
  • Extensive Mental Health experience
  • The ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
  • Be comfortable providing 1:1 or group consultation (face-to-face and via telephone)
  • An IAPT supervision course is ideal, but not essential for the role
  • Be empathetic and understanding
