Description

Pulse are currently looking for a HCPC registered Band 7-8a Clinical Psychologist to join our client’s NHS Older Peoples Community Mental Health team in Leeds, Yorkshire. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, on a full-time for an ongoing period. 

The post will focus on providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, interventions, and specialist therapy to a wide range of older people with mental health problems. You will be based within two different CMHTs supporting psychological thinking and understanding across the teams in the west and North of the city. The teams have two sites as office bases with clinic rooms as well as carrying out home visits where appropriate. The logistics of this community role indicate essential car driver criteria.

To be considered for this role, the psychologist must:

  • Have HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist 
  • Hold a doctorate level qualification in Psychology (Clinical)
  • Have experience working with older adults
  • Be a great listener with strong communication skills 
  • Be empathetic, observant and independent.
