Pulse is currently seeking a band 7/8a Clinical Psychologist with excellent interpersonal skills, to join our fantastic NHS trust based in Surrey. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering full hours per week for an initial 3-month period. Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The psychologist appointed will work within an acute inpatient service for adults with complex, severe, and enduring mental health conditions. The psychology professional will undertake specialist mental health assessments, as well as formulating treatment plans and delivering evidence based therapeutic interventions. The post holder will also work closely with non-psychological professionals, advising on best psychological care.
This post is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and clinical leadership for the inpatient adult acute wards. The postholder is responsible for the line management of the staff who work in these teams; for the performance management of the services in terms of quality, finance, Human resource management and governance.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a doctorate in either Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology
- Be HCPC registered
- Have a proven track record in an adult inpatient environment
- Be analytical and show good attention to detail
