Are you an empathetic and genuine Senior Physiotherapist looking for an exciting new role?

e is now seeking to recruit a band 6 Senior Physiotherapist specialising in elderly care to join our client’s community team based in an NHS trust in Whitehaven, Cumberland. The appointed physiotherapist will be available to start working full-time hours for an initial 3-month period as soon as possible.

The physiotherapist must have experience working in elderly care and admission avoidance to be considered for this post. Physiotherapists applying must also have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in physiotherapy. The post holder will work autonomously with an increasingly complex caseload, undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and providing appropriate advice. To work as an experienced Physiotherapist throughout the Planned Movement specialties on a six-monthly basis.

Main duties will include:

  • Monitoring and evaluating patients’ progress within the community
  • Treating patients who are undergoing planned surgery
  • Daily rehab to the patients in their own home
  • Working within intense rehabilitation
  • Working within the complex discharge therapy team
  • Post-operative intervention
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Daily running of exercise groups

To be considered for this role candidates must:

  • Be HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Have previous experience within a similar setting
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
