Pulse is recruiting for an exciting opportunity that our client has available for a qualified Band 6 Primary care Therapist to join a fantastic private trust in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan. This post is available for the Primary care therapist to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours each week for an initial 3-month period.
The primary purpose of this job is to provide a range of psychological interventions, including evidence-based structured interventions and psychological counselling, to the primary care mental health services within an assigned locality. The post has been created to respond to the Mental Health Measure and to increase the capacity to deliver effective psychological treatments in primary care. The post holder will provide time-limited high-intensity psychotherapeutic interventions for clients who have a range of mental health problems in accordance with service criteria. This will include risk assessment, clinical formulation, development of therapeutic plans and delivery of various psychological interventions to individuals suitable for primary care mental health services.
Applying family therapists must have:
- Previous CAMHS experience
- UKCP accreditation
- Hold a diploma qualification in family therapy (post-graduate level)
- Strong observational and listening skills
- The ability to work well as a team
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational skills
