Are you an empathetic Physiotherapist specialising in strokes?
Pulse is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our client’s stroke service at a well-established NHS trust in Oxford. The role is available for the successful therapist to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours and potential part-time per week with the placement ending on 30.06.23.
The successful Physiotherapist will carry out the continuous assessment of patients within the stroke MDT to diagnose, assess, plan, and implement patient specific programmes of care and rehabilitation and disability management. It is essential applying therapists have previous experience with neurological patients and the ability to function effectively across a variety of environments to be considered for this role.
Duties within this role will include:
- Initial assessments/brain injury assessments
- Rehabilitation
- Help to develop skills
- Increase range of motion
- Providing support and advice to carers and family members
- Working within a multidisciplinary team
- Managing own caseload
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
- Have significant neuro/stroke experience
- Be patient and communicative towards patients with a range of neuro conditions
