Band 6 – Physiotherapist – Palliative Care – Cheadle

Pulse is now seeking a Band 6 physiotherapist who has previous experience in palliative care to join a well-established private client based in the Cheadle, Cheshire.

The position is available to start as soon as possible working part-time hours for an ongoing period. The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to palliative care and work well within a team of multidisciplinary staff.

The postholder will work with rehabilitation team colleagues to deliver a physiotherapy service at the site, they will need to be able to prioritise and work efficiently to ensure the complex needs of in patients and outpatients are met in a timely manner. The appointed Physiotherapist will assess patients with complex needs and provide specialist physiotherapy advice/treatment plans as well as work in conjunction with community physiotherapists to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate physiotherapy interventions

Duties within this role will include:

• Working with older people
• Goal setting and rehabilitation
• Treating patients with chronic disability and progressive conditions
• Working within a hospice setting
• Treating for breathlessness
• Working with a wide range of neurological conditions

Skills and Experience needed:

• HCPC registration
• Relevant degree/qualifications (i.e. in palliative care)
