Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking for a new and exciting role within mental health?
Pulse is now recruiting for a band 6 Physiotherapist to join the mental health team at an innovative NHS trust based in Preston, Lancashire. The post is available to start as soon as possible working full-time/part-time hours per week for an initial ongoing period.
The post holder will assume responsibility for management of a defined caseload using specialist knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs for children and families, liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate. To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who present to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of or have attempted deliberate self-harm. To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. To offer therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practice and in line with the NICE guidelines. To ensure the clients’ rights of confidentiality are maintained at all times.
Duties within this role may include:
- Provide physiotherapy treatment to patients who have mental health conditions
- Working within a multidisciplinary team
- Help to manage mobility
- Managing own caseload efficiently
- Being legally and professionally responsible for own work
Skills and experience needed:
- HCPC registration
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience working with mental health
- Relevant degree/qualifications
