Band 6 – Physiotherapist – Acute Inpatient – Romford

Are you an empathetic Physiotherapist with a keen interest in acute care?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our fantastic NHS client’s acute inpatient based in Romford, Essex. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start as soon as possible, offering full time hours per week for an ongoing period.

The trust are seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist, with experience in frailty in the acute inpatient setting, preferably in admission avoidance and early discharge from assessment units or Emergency Department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized physiotherapy services to patients. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life during their hospital stay assessing and treating patients on the ward.

Skills and experience needed:

• Previous experience within acute settings
• Previous discharge planning and frailty experience
• Relevant degree/qualification in Physiotherapy
• HCPC registration

Duties will include:

• Care-coordinating
• Attending MDT meetings
• Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs.
• Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress.
• Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
• Working with other healthcare professionals
