Description

Pulse is seeking to recruit a band 6 Hand Therapy to join an innovative NHS trust in Epsom, Surrey.  This position offers part-time hours for an initial period. You will be working within an experienced multidisciplinary team and must be able to manage your own caseload efficiently and effectively.

The post holder will require experience working in a Hand Therapy setting and a good understanding of Hand pathologies and their management. The successful candidate must also have experience with acute elective acute trauma patients, as well as plastics and rheumatology. Be able to provide bespoke splints for patients manage wounds and remove stitches where necessary. The post holder must also be able to provide personalised recovery and rehabilitation plans for a broad range of Hand/wrist-related pathologies

Duties will include:

  • Hand therapy for MSK outpatients
  • Splinting
  • Treating for repetitive strain injury
  • Treating symptoms of a chronic illness
  • Test and measure the patient’s movements

Pay rates for this role are for the umbrella pay method, PAYE equivalent pay will be £16 – £21 per hour.
