Band 6 – Occupational Therapist – Older Adult/Acute – London

Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in acute care?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic NHS client’s Older Adult Acute Ward based in London. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start March 13^th, offering full time hours per week for an initial 2-month period.

The appointed Occupational Therapist will select and apply Occupational Therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skills deficits, enabling the Service User in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. The postholder will manage a caseload of Service Users with complex needs, using evidence based and person-centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Skills and experience needed:

• Previous experience within acute settings
• Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration

Duties will include:

• Care-coordinating
• Attending MDT meetings
• Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs.
• Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress.
• Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
• Working with other healthcare professionals
