Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in acute care?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic NHS client’s Older Adult Acute Ward based in London. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start March 13th, offering full time hours per week for an initial 2-month period.

The appointed Occupational Therapist will select and apply Occupational Therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skills deficits, enabling the Service User in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. The postholder will manage a caseload of Service Users with complex needs, using evidence based and person-centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Previous experience within acute settings
  • Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration

Duties will include:

  • Care-coordinating
  • Attending MDT meetings
  • Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs.
  • Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress.
  • Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
  • Working with other healthcare professionals
