Are you an Occupational Therapist who specialises in Neurological Rehabilitation?

Our private client is looking for an experienced and caring Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team, based in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours on a permanent basis.

The appointed Therapist will assess, treat and manage their own caseload developing specialist occupational therapy skills in neurosciences. The role will predominantly cover the trust’s neuro rehabilitation and neurosurgery services providing highly effective, innovative and evidenced based therapy provision.

Rates: £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Have previous experience within an NHS neuro rehab setting
  • Hold a full driver’s licence and have own vehicle
  • Post-graduation experience and education in occupational therapy and the areas of cognition and challenging behaviour

Duties within this role will include:

  • Carrying out brain injury assessments
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Providing support for carers and family – advice on care plans after discharge
  • Setting realistic client centred goals to help with development
  • Neuro splinting and casting
