Pulse is currently seeking an empathetic HCPC registered qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a well-established NHS trust based in Prescot, Lancashire. This position is available to start from 06.11.23, offering full-time and part-time hours per week with the placement due to end on 02.02.24.

The successful Occupational Therapist is required for the A&E and frailty team. As an A&E and Frailty Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized occupational therapy services to individuals with acute medical needs in the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department and those in frail health. You will work in a fast-paced environment, delivering assessments, interventions, and support tailored to the unique requirements of these patients. Applying therapists must have previous experience of working in A&E or a fast paced frailty unit.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Work to prevent unplanned admissions
  • Discharge planning and treatment plans
  • Providing effective intervention
  • Physical rehabilitation
  • Work well within a face paced environment

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be HCPC registered
  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications
  • Have previous experience within A&E and working in an acute setting
