Description

Pulse is currently seeking an empathetic HCPC registered Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a well-established NHS trust based in London. This position is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week with the placement due to end on 03.11.23.

The trust are looking for a dynamic OT to work in their admission avoidance service based at the emergency department in Royal London Hospital to provide assessment and intervention to facilitate discharge. A part of the role is to in-reach to the acute assessment unit on admission wards to support with discharges and conduct access visit and settling visit to support discharge and reduce risk of readmission. Applying therapists must have significant experience in complex discharge planning, preferably from Emergency Department.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Work to prevent unplanned admissions
  • Discharge planning and treatment plans
  • Providing effective intervention
  • Physical rehabilitation
  • Work well within a face paced environment

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be HCPC registered
  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications
  • Have previous experience within A&E and working in an acute setting
