Are you an empathetic CAMHS Practitioner looking for an exciting new role?

We are now recruiting for a Band 6/7 CAMHS Practitioner specialising in eating disorders to join an NHS trust based in Worcester, Worcestershire, on a locum contract. The successful CAMHS Practitioner. A qualification in a core profession such as Social Work, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy will also be required to be considered for the role.

The post on offer will be an immediate start working full-time for an initial 3-month contract with the view to extending.

The post holder will mainly deliver short-term support in crisis and core screening risk assessments, safety plans and interventions using evidence-based treatment modalities on-site. Ensure that each referred patient and, where necessary, their family receives an individual specialist assessment, risk assessment and care plan. It is the subject of regular evaluation, which, wherever practicable, is formulated in conjunction with the patient and/or their family.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a CAMHS setting
  • Managing a caseload
  • Offer clinical treatment work and consultation
  • Experience with a wide range of young people’s mental health presentations
  • Can work well independently and as part of the team
