Description

Pulse is now recruiting for a new role in an innovative NHS trust based in Ilford, Essex. The practice requires a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. Candidates applying will be qualified in Occupational Therapy and be available to work full time hours.

The successful Occupational Therapy Assistant will play a crucial role in helping individuals of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life through occupational therapy interventions. The assistant must have the ability to work with minimal or no immediate supervision of a qualified therapist following competency training and instruction from qualified staff. The successful assistant will be required to support the team with home assessments and access visits, including ordering and coordinating delivery of standard equipment required by patients, (under direction/ supervision of a therapist)

Duties within the role will include:

  • Help clients to follow a treatment plan that has been developed with the occupational therapist, to help with everyday activities
  • Maintain client records by recording progress
  • Keep track of supplies and stock
  • Provide any required support to the occupational therapists

To be considered for this role you must have previous occupational therapy assistant experience and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
