Pulse Nursing is happy to provide a variety of Emergency Nurse (Accident & Emergency) Nurse shifts in East Kent. You will be utilising some of the most cutting-edge medical equipment in the nation while working with a pleasant and welcoming team of A&E Nurses. You will also work with other specialists to continuously monitor and care for patients who are extremely unwell or in unstable conditions.
You will be performing triage, treating resuscitated patients with experts whilst providing the best levels of care. As a member of the A&E nursing team, you will have access to a variety of support and development opportunities.
We have a range of flexible shifts, with pay rates up to £36.75 per hour.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Provide constant monitoring and care for patients in a seriously ill or unstable condition.
- Actively supporting emergency admissions and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods, to ensure effective understanding.
- Assess and prioritise patient/client requirements, delegating effectively to others.
- To recognise, review and report patients/clients’ condition and any changes to it to senior members of staff within the multidisciplinary team.
- Responsible for adhering to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
- Taking blood/fitting a canula, undertake patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate and oxygen level) as patient need dictates throughout the shift.
- Treatment of resus patients and Triage
Requirements of a Pulse A&E Nurse:
- Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
- Minimum of 6 months recent experience working in A&E in the last 12 months
- Ability to provide two professional referees with whom you have worked within 6 months to complete references to confirm your skills.
