Shift cancellations

Read our guidance to ensure you know what to do if you need to cancel a shift, or if a client cancellation occurs.

If you need to cancel a shift  

If you need to cancel a shift for any reason, it is important that you:  

  • Call us immediately on 0333 577 3410 in order for us to source replacement cover 
  • You must notify us a minimum of 4 hours before your shift is due to start, however we request 48 hours’ notice where practically possible

Please note: We monitor workers who repeatedly cancel agreed shifts with less than 4 hours notification or repeatedly fail to arrive at shifts they have committed to do. In these circumstances, you may be restricted from booking further shifts and it could also result in us ceasing to place you into assignments.  

Client cancellations 

Due to the nature of temporary work, the requirements of our clients may change resulting in the cancellation of your placement. In some cases, this can occur at short notice. In the event of a cancellation, we will try to contact you as soon as possible.  

If you are cancelled from a placement, we will always endeavour to find you alternative work. If the placement is cancelled when you arrive at the client’s site, it is important that you: 

  • Call us immediately on 0333 577 3410  
  • Get your timesheet signed by the client that you have been cancelled by, showing what time you arrived and when you departed
  • Submit your timesheet in the usual manner for processing 
  • If shifts are cancelled with more than two hours’ notice, unfortunately no cancellation fees will be paid 

Wherever possible, we will try to relocate you to another area of the same client to minimise disruption.
