Can I continuing working for my current agency?
Possibly. Pulse will be working with the Council to select support agencies to work within the agreement. Selected agencies will need to ensure they meet the high quality standards expected by the Council and by Pulse. However, all vacancies will come through the Pulse Social Care team in the first instance and candidates registered with Pulse will get the first selection.
Will my pay rate change?
Pulse are working with the London Borough of Hillingdon to standardise pay rates across the Council to ensure these are in line with market conditions and permanent staff working within the Council. As part of the implementation we will be conducting a review of all candidates pay schemes across the Council.

What does this mean for me?
To receive the widest choice of work within the Council, you will need to register with Pulse . Our aim will be to make registration as easy as possible. We will be holding roadshows and open days across the Borough to explain the changes and allow for further questions. Please see the section on this site for information on dates and locations.
Why was Pulse selected?
The London Borough of Hillingdon conducted a formal tender process open to all agencies and Pulse Social Care was the successful bidder.
What types of staff does the agreement cover?
The agreement covers all temporary staff within Social Care. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Residential Workers
- Supported Housing Staff
- Day Centre Officers
- Team Leaders
- Contact Supervisors
- Community Care Staff
- Home Carer

When does the agreement start?
Pulse are working with the Council and suppliers to ensure a smooth transition of services for all parties. The contract will commence on 2nd July 2007.
