An exciting new opportunity has opened for an Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to join a dynamic Private team based in West Yorkshire. This is a permanent vacancy, working full-time hours.

It is essential that the Candidate has the relevant NMP Qualifications and previous experience working within a Drug and Alcohol Service.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Offering care for a range of clients, with a plan to assess, diagnose, implement and manage interventions of service users
  • Initiate prescriptions, whilst managing/amending prescriptions of opiate and/or alcohol substitutes. This will include identifying and assessing the suitability of service users as appropriate.
  • Show initiative to develop the prescribing clinic, and critically evaluate and review innovations that are relevant to area of work.
  • Offer support and advice to other clinical workers and external agencies regarding prescribing issues.
