Pulse is currently recruiting for a Band 8a Pharmacist to cover Medical Wards, at an NHS trust based in East Sussex. The trust is located only a short distance from the nearest train station and there is regular running transport links, making it easily accessible for those who do not drive.

The post is available to start as soon as possible working full time hours per week, until the end of August. Candidates applying must have previous experience of working within an acute hospital setting as you will be potentially required to cover Acute Admissions.

The pay rates shown are for Umbrella payment method. The PAYE equivalent is £28 -£32 per hour.

Whilst in this post, your duties will include: 
• Check prescriptions for errors, ensuring they're appropriate and safe for the individual patient
• Make sure medicines are stored appropriately and securely
• Participate in ward rounds to take patient drug histories
• Prepare and quality-check sterile medications, for example, intravenous medications
