After a long day teaching, do you quickly rush to you local and serve as history specialist for the Red Lion's three-time pub trivia championship team, My Drinking Team has a Trivia Problem? Or do you rage every time you see another Freeview documentary that overstates American involvement in WWII? Have you lost count of the number of times you nearly lost friends due to your vociferous defense of Eric Hosbawm?
If you're a history teacher that feels passionately about your subject, but maybe not so passionate about your current role, then please get in touch. I'm recruiting for a Head of History that can teach up to A Level on behalf of a 'Good' school in South London.
This exciting school offers its teachers a commonsense approach to marking and assessment, access to leading CPD, and a real focus on teacher well-being. As a manger, you'll receive plenty of support and training from the school's visionary leadership. You'll be given the space and autonomy to lead a department in a manner that suits you with little micromanagement or undue scrutiny.
This school wants leaders with whom they can collaborate, not control.
This is a successful, stable and friendly department that has very low staff turnover.
The successful candidate must have:
- Full QTS
- Ability to teach to A Level
- Experience teaching in the UK
- Preferably, some management responsibilities
Please apply for further information.
