Free online CPD event: Making the most of the Therapeutic Relationship

Pulse has partnered with Bespoke Mental Health, a leading training provider for mental health practitioners, to bring you a free, one-hour online CPD event run by Harry O’Hayon, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Lecturer.

Introduction

It is widely acknowledged that creating and maintaining a solid therapeutic relationship is a critical factor that helps facilitate change and insight development in clients; it allows them to feel safe, heard, and understood, and they are more likely to achieve their therapy goals. It is especially invaluable for those with a history of difficulty forming and maintaining relationships and for those who have experienced past trauma. Research shows that when key therapeutic factors are established, clients feel more willing to open and express deep-rooted feelings and beliefs and disclose unhelpful and harmful behaviours they may be engaging in.

Making the most of the Therapeutic Relationship
