Registered Nurse

How did you hear about the Pulse team?
I heard through a registered nurse friend and saw some ads online.

What was the level of support you received from the team throughout the registration, interview and placement process?
I felt i received a great deal of support from Pulse. I was regularly in communication with them over the telephone allowing me to get answers straight away to questions I had.

How do you think the Pulse team are different from competitors?
They are more relaxed. If you are unavailable for a shift, they don't "punish you" later on. I also feel they offer ongoing contract work, and the experience of some of their staff means I feel looked after and not forgotten.

Would you recommend the Pulse team to colleagues looking for work? if so why?
Yes I would and do recommend Pulse.
Staff often ask me who I work for, and take their number. A common concern nurses have is being not being permanently employed, and most nurses I speak to are impressed with the flexibility and lifestyle i can have as a Pulse nurses.

How did you hear about the Pulse team?
I heard of Pulse in numerous locations before, however it was through reading a nursing journal that I came to actually get in touch and register.

What was the level of support you received from the team throughout the registration, interview and placement process?
I have found their levels of service to be excellent. I am always pleased with the support I receive from the consultants. This high standard of service is why i have stayed with Pulse this long.

How do you think the Pulse team are different from competitors?
To be honest, I do not work with any other agencies, I feel that because I am happy with the standard and frequency of work I get from Pulse, I do not feel a need to compare them with others.

I would recommend them to others and I have already done so. Mostly I have recommended the Pulse agency to my colleagues.

Moving from Tasmania, Australia to London alone was equal parts daunting and exciting for me as there were so many big life changes and unknown factors ahead. Luckily, one thing I did not have to worry about was finding work through Pulse Nursing upon my arrival.

Before making my initial contact with Pulse I had researched literally hundreds of other nursing agencies in London. I found Pulse was by far the superior option for me as I liked that it offered varied nursing roles such as private sector, community and hospital based nursing. I was also attracted to the competitive pay rates, and the opportunities for further training and career advancement that Pulse offers. Prior to me even moving to London whilst I was still in Tasmania I was in regular contact with my agent Neralie. Neralie was fantastic; she helped me from start to finish with gaining my nursing registration with the NMC which is a stressful and difficult process. Even though we were in separate hemispheres I felt so connected to and well supported by Neralie. She was always available when I needed her. I really valued her friendly and helpful deposition and the advice and guidance she gave me. It just made the whole process of moving over and getting registered so much easier.

Upon my arrival to the UK Pulse organised the necessary training that I had to undertake prior to working. All the Pulse staff were so welcoming and kind. Pulse also provided me with health care assistant work until my NMC registration came through. This allowed me to stay afloat financially as I had an income coming in as soon as I arrived. I also really enjoyed this work too.

Since receiving my registration Pulse has provided me with wonderful working opportunities. There is an abundance of work available and as you give your working availability to the booking team there is a lot of freedom to be able to work where and when you want.

I have now been working full time as a school nurse which has been such an interesting and rewarding role. The staff at Pulse still regularly check in to see if I have any questions and to ensure I am happy and feel well supported. I am also about to commence some live in nursing work which is something I had not previously considered but I’m excited to pursue the different roles and career opportunities that Pulse has to offer.

I am so grateful to all the brilliant staff at Pulse for everything they have done and continue to do for me. I would definitely recommended Pulse.

From first signing up in New Zealand, all the way through to meeting my efficient consultant in the London office, Pulse has ensured only the best of efficiency and dedication. Once all practicalities were sorted, I managed to start working the week after I arrived.

Pulse consultants go above and beyond to seek work suited to needs and requirements pertaining to skill set. The work is plentiful and a great way to see around London (in community based work).

I'm grateful to the staff at Pulse for making what seemed a daunting process in relocating overseas easy, friendly and reliable with consistent opportunities to work a variety of shifts at short and long term notice!
