Pulse are looking for a Full-time Sonographer who would be interested in joining a leading private provider of Radiography services and support to the market. The company have roles based in a number of locations in the UK, one of which being Somerset. The role is based within an NHS diagnostic centre which is run by the private company on behalf of the NHS. The role is a full-time position so will be 37.5 contracted hours per week.

You will form part of a team which is headed up by the Lead Sonographer and the Diagnostic Manager, This role requires a level of flexibility and also the ability to work autonomously and under pressure on occasion to meet the needs of the department. The work load will include a range of Ultrasound examinations including gynaecological, abdominal and small parts. You will be required to clinically justify ultrasound referrals.

A DMU or PgDip in Medical Ultrasound qualification would be a huge plus (ideally from a CASE accredited institution) or equivalent however, Sonographer’s with a PgC in General Ultrasound will be also be considered. HCPC registration and evidence of continued professional development/ Post Graduate education is expected. Independent reporting is a must.

The salary for the role is negotiable based on experience but salaries in the region of £40,000 + are achievable in this case. There are additional benefits that come with the role including a generous annual leave entitlement and a pension to name a few.
