Pulse are currently looking to assist one of our private clients who is looking to recruit a Sonographer on permanent basis part-time basis. The role requires 18.75 hours per week made up of 2-2.5 days per week which can include a half day on a Saturday. The role is based with Portsmouth and will require you to be based with an NHS Treatment centre which is run by the Private company on behalf of the NHS.

As part of the team as a Sonographer you will be reporting to the Lead Sonographer and the Diagnostic Manager and will be required to provide a wide range of ultrasonography examinations including gynaecological, abdominal and small parts. It is essential that you have experience of clinically justifying ultrasound referrals and being able to react and adapt to the demands of the service.  A degree of flexibility and the ability to work without supervision and under pressure is needed in this role.

Qualifications required for the role include holding the DMU or PgDip in Medical Ultrasound (ideally from a CASE accredited institution) or equivalent however, Sonographer’s with only a PgC in (general) Ultrasound will be considered. You must have HCPC registration and evidence of Post Graduate education/CPD. They must also have experience of autonomous practice and independent reporting. This role would particularly suit an experienced and senior sonographer interested in a progressive role with increased responsibility
