Pulse are currently working with one of its specialist clients in search of a highly specialist Occupational Therapist to work in a educational setting to be based in Devon.
This vacancy is a full time permanent position working 40hrs per week. The School is a 38 and 52 week mixed-gender residential school for students aged 7-19 with a diagnosis of autism, or whose difficulties place them on the autistic continuum. Day provision is available for students who live close by.
Working as part of a full multidisciplinary team, you be required to exercise leadership, driving service delivery for occupational therapy outcomes. Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and interventions and work with the school staff to embed sensory strategies across the environment. Previous experience in working with children/ young people is essential, and formal qualifications in Sensory Integration will prove advantageous. Taking a “hands on” approach it is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills. Within time you may hold responsibility for the supervision and development of others
