Pulse are currently looking for a Band 6/7 community OT to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

About the Role

Band 6

Working with the Locality team would mean joining a vibrant team that supports staff to achieve their full potential. We are looking for OT’s to work towards becoming seniors.

As a senior member of the team, you will have an influence on the future development of the service. You’ll bring our reablement ethos to life, leading holistic assessments of social care needs and planning support across a dedicated caseload. In all that you do, you’ll promote independence, choice and control. You will take every opportunity to support and develop those around you. Working closely with families and carers, you’ll play a vital role in supporting people from diverse backgrounds, with a wide range of needs.

Band 7

Assistant Team Manager, who will be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care including the Mental Capacity Act and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework.

You must have significant post qualification experience, including some management experience in a social care setting. You must also be able to demonstrate an applied and effective knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults’ procedures and be able to evidence this. A key accountability of the role is developing staff practice and therefore applicants must be able demonstrate evidence of providing effective professional supervision to less experienced colleagues.

Must have:

  • HCPC Registered
  • Enhanced DBS check required  
  • Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks
  • Experience of complex case works & Risk assessment
  • Ideally 3 years post grad experience
  • Experience working in community or social care
