Pulse are working closely with a private hospital in London who require a Lead Physiotherapist.
The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service work closely with the wider MDT to provide an individual and tailored rehabilitation programme, enhancing the recovery of patients that have undergone surgery or life affecting conditions. The hospital cover a variety of specialities that the small, yet well-knitted, team of therapists are required to assist with; from general surgery and orthopaedics to ITU and potential oncology patients. Although the team work closely, each therapist is very autonomous and will see on average 8/9 ward based per day patients.
As the Lead Physiotherapist you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of therapy to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care. As well as the day to day responsibilities you will also be encouraged to take on other projects outside of the day to day routine to ensure the continuous improvement and development of the service. Aside to these, as the Lead Physio, you will supervise and lead the team of inpatient Physiotherapists.
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (covering a variety of shifts between 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday – there is also a requirement to cover our weekend & oncall service).
The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £43,801 - £49,901 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment and treatment for each patient, ensuring the patient, their family and carers are involved in the planning and delivery of care.
Responsible for day to day staffing of the inpatient department - Oversee coordination of the weekend and on call service
Attend relevant clinics, meetings and case conferences
Work closely with the Physiotherapy manager to ensure that quality, activity and resource targets are met.
Actively participate in professional supervision, teaching and the departments CPD programme
Oversee all HR duties for the department including participating in appraisal process, recruitment and performance management
Accurately process charges for physiotherapy and equipment supplied and assisting with account enquiries and patient complaints.
Assist the physiotherapy manager in the management of the department within the departmental budget and the hospital budget.
Identify and implement changes to process and policies.
Skills & Experience
As a HCPC registered Physiotherapist you will have substantial previous experience of working within a UK hospital environment across a number of inpatient specialities (Ideally orthopaedics, General Surgery, medical rehab or ITU) in either a private or NHS setting, some of which includes leading a team.
