Pulse are recruiting for a lead Occupational therapist in Middlesbrough ,North Yorkshire.
The role itself is based with one of the UK's leading independent providers of specialist Rehabilitation services.
Their Neurological rehab hospital in Middlesbrough provides specialist rehabilitation and long term complex care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
The highly experienced interdisciplinary team comprises of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, speech and language therapists, assistants and nurses.
The team works with residents and their families and carers to help them achieve their personal goals and the best quality of life possible in a supportive and homely environment.
The lead Occupational therapist is required to provide:
A comprehensive therapy service to patients who will be resident on site from a couple of months to a couple of years
Thorough assessment of patients’ neurological impairments to set out functional physical goals with patients and their families
Community and home visits, and functional social outings with assistance of a therapy assistant
Assisting the Therapy Lead in maintaining efficient and effective services and developments in line with the departmental, service-wide and company objectives
In order to qualify for the role as Occupational Therapy lead you will need to have considerable experience in neurological disorders and ideally have experience leading and training junior staff and students.
