Pulse is recruiting for an exciting new role as an band 6 occupational therapist for the acute service at a well-established NHS trust, situated in Essex. The trust is located closely to a main line train station with other public transport available.
The ideal candidate will have community experience, working with people in their own homes, with a variety of health conditions; and should have some experience of working with older people and people with dementia and other neurological conditions. Will need to be a car driver.
In this vacancy you will be expected to;
to accommodate demand over the winter period.
provide up to 6 weeks of reablement post major illness/operation
provide crisis response and early supported discharge, with integrated advanced nurses and social workers
provide assessments, equipment ordering and goal setting in conjunction with the other members of the MDT to facilitate discharge/remain at home
Support other services across health and social care with OT assessment as required
