Nicki Brady

Managing Director

Nicki already had 15 years of experience in recruitment when she joined Acacium Group (formerly ICS Group) as operations manager back in July 2010. Since then, she has been responsible for the overall service delivery of Bank Partners and was instrumental in developing their strategy, going on to establish a strong reputation for service within the industry. Having worked directly with the NHS, forging relationships and collaborating with agencies and frameworks alike, Nicki was delighted to join Pulse Nursing in January 2019 as Managing Director.

She’s passionate about providing a best in class service for both clients and candidates. As the market has been through a time of considerable change, she is excited to be a part of this new chapter and see what the future brings.

Jake Aspinall

Divisional Clinical Lead

Jake has 20 years’ experience in nursing. He first joined Acacium Group in July 2019 as divisional clinical lead for nursing, where he leads the clinical nursing team. Jake brings extensive clinical experience and invaluable practice-based knowledge in a wide variety of specialisms, ranging from haematology/oncology, emergency department, critical care outreach, occupational health and site management.

Jake is passionate about providing the best quality healthcare workers and ensuring the highest standards of best practice are maintained.

Claire Murphy

Regional Operations Manager – North

Claire joined Pulse over 11 years ago as a contracts coordinator, having 15 years’ worth of experience in recruitment. She quickly progressed to regional director and is now responsible for managing the northern team. Claire ensures that all nurses are given the opportunities to work in their preferred locations, offered the relevant training to keep them up to date and compliant, and that each and every one is fully supported throughout the recruitment process. She also assists her team to make sure that urgent client requests are responded to quickly, and that shifts are filled efficiently with the highest quality of healthcare professional.

Jason Brown

Regional Operations Director – South

Jason joined Acacium Group in January 2008 working for Bank Partners as a senior business partner. He soon progressed to the role of operations manager looking after UCLH, North Middlesex Hospital, Whittington Hospital, Great Ormond Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. In October 2019 he joined Pulse – bringing with him his wealth of knowledge and experience – and became regional operations director managing the southern team.

Jason is a passionate sales leader with over 20 years of experience in the financial services and recruitment industry, where he created sales and service focused teams centred around putting the customer at the heart of all they do.

Tina Stanton

Head of Resourcing & Compliance

Tina has over 20 years’ experience in recruitment, with the past 12 years being in the healthcare sector. She joined Acacium Group in November 2013 and spent her first five years in our managed services division, Bank Partners, where she led the recruitment and compliance teams for NHS bank contracts and supported the implementation of new contracts.

Tina joined Pulse in May 2019, where she now heads up our recruitment and compliance teams across the UK. Tina is passionate about providing the best quality nurses and healthcare workers into the public and private sectors, ensuring our recruitment and compliance processes are of the highest quality.

Sarah Chadwick

Sales Manager

Sarah joined Pulse in February 2008 as a booking coordinator for the theatres team, before moving to the private team in 2010. She began her current position as sales manager in 2018 where her role is to grow the client base within the private sector.

Her aim is to build and grow strong client relationships with a wide variety of clients, while working with the team to ensure that these relationships are maintained by providing the most suitable candidates to suit each clients’ individual requirements.

Senior Business Manager – Private Sector South

Andrew joined Pulse in 2013. He’s responsible for ensuring that London’s private and mental health teams deliver a reliable, stand-out service to candidates and clients alike. While much has changed in the healthcare sector over the last few years, Andrew believes that people and their experiences will always be at its heart.

He is proud to lead two teams that care deeply about both and understand the role recruitment plays in improving the lives of healthcare professionals, service providers, and patients alike.

Natalie Spence

Senior Business Manager – NHS Acute

Natalie has 15 years’ worth of experience within the healthcare industry and is a specialist at developing new business (critical care and chemotherapy in particular). She began her career with Pulse in 2005 as a trainee recruitment consultant, and since then has progressed to become a senior business manager. Natalie’s role includes managing the south regional nursing acute and on-call teams, and she makes it her business to ensure that excellent customer service is delivered every time.

Senior Business Manager – Mental Health & PCN South

Helen has gained a wealth of experience in her 20 years within the healthcare industry. She began her career in 1998 as a sales coordinator within the remit of international nursing, before joining Pulse in 2003 as a recruitment consultant. Here she quickly progressed to team leader before moving into a managerial position. Helen’s current role includes managing the mental health and community nursing teams.

For Helen, the most rewarding part of her role is fulfilling the needs of both clients and candidates, delivering excellent customer service, and high-quality nursing professionals. She also enjoys leading a team and supporting employees to meet their career aspirations.

Senior Business Manager – North East, Yorkshire & Midlands

David joined Pulse in 2013, beginning his career as a call consultant and soon progressing within the business to a senior business manager. His current role is to look after the Midlands, North East and Yorkshire areas for NHS trusts. David is involved in various technology projects, trialling them within his team before rolling out to the business. Alongside great client and customer service, he believes that this gives Pulse the edge over competitors.

Rebecca Henshaw

Business Manager – A&E North

Rebecca has over 16 years’ experience in the recruitment industry with the past 10 years being in the healthcare sector. She joined Pulse in May 2010 as a critical care consultant and since then has progressed to a business manager. She now manages the busy A&E North team. The A&E team look after candidates and clients across the North of England and Rebecca’s role ensures that the best possible service is always delivered to candidates and clients.

Kelly Branagh

Senior Business Manager – North West & Private North

Kelly joined Pulse in 2012 as recruitment consultant having previously worked in retail. She found the transition to her first office environment surprisingly easy, a fact she attributes to having an excellent mentor, as well as thriving in the active sales environment. Over her 8 years at Pulse she has progressed through the ranks to team leader, business manager and now senior business manager. Kelly is also the champion for Viewpoint, our experience management programme. She plays a vital role in driving Pulse to become a fully customer centric organisation.

Jordanne joined Pulse in November 2014 as a resourcer for the mental health team. After a couple of years in the resourcing and recruitment team she first progressed to recruitment team leader, then resourcing manager.

Jordanne is passionate about recruiting high calibre nursing, midwifery and theatres professionals for the NHS and private sector as well as maintaining excellent candidate engagement and customer service.

Laura joined Pulse in 2009, beginning her career working with the AHP division in compliance and bookings roles, before moving to the nursing team. She has progressed from being the sole resourcer in our Manchester branch, to building and managing teams of resourcers in both our branches.
