About Kingston Hospital NHS Trust

Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital based approximately 12 miles from central London.

The hospital support some 320,000 people in the surrounding area including the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney and East Elmbridge.

They have approximately 520 beds and directly employ some 2,600 staff with another 300 staff employed by contractors but working on behalf of the Trust. They are located on one site in Kingston upon Thames.

They provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and have a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in 'patient-focused' care, day surgery and maternity services.

The trust is committed to quality healthcare and continue to improve their facilities, working hard to ensure that we have built up a wide range of clinical services.

They opened a new cancer unit, the Sir William Rous Unit, on 9 June to patients, and the new Kingston Surgical Centre was opened last year. They are also refurbishing their medical wards.

Clinical Services are managed through 4 divisions: Acute medicine and A&E, Clinical Services (cancer services, pharmacy etc), Surgery and Critical Care, Women & Children’s Health.
