PULSE Independent Living provides a high quality service enabling clients to live independent lives - supported in their own homes, living environments and communities.
Our workers are thoroughly competent in supporting people with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and associated conditions. As a result, our skilled workers can provide enabling care as well as short or long term support for clients. We offer help with a variety of needs such as:
- Daily living skills
- Social interaction
- Confidence building
- Emotional support
- Advocacy
No two individuals with Acquired Brain Injury will be the same and so will require greatly different levels of support to manage day-to-day living.
We can extend our services to provide and manage multidisciplinary packages focused on individual client needs - including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychiatry services.
How we work
Working in partnership, the PULSE Independent Living team will develop a person-centred care plan offering each client empowerment and choice. Each plan is based on a full assessment of health and social care support needs and is undertaken by a social care support professional or qualified nurse. We will take into account social and health needs and ensure that we provide a safe, reliable and personalised service.
Our client organisations
Our client organisations include PCTs, case managers, solicitors, charities, non-statutory and third sector organisations, local authority social services or individuals controlling their own budgets. We also engage with community nursing services, GPs and healthcare providers.
All our clients can be assured that the staff we provide to them are carefully selected to meet their needs. For each worker we place we consider their experience and skills, but also their personality. Wherever possible we involve clients in choosing their support worker.
