Our globally recognised client develops a range of leading-edge instrumentation for the Molecular Biology research market and as part of a structured expansion plan, they are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to support an team of Internal Sales Executives.

Applicants should be Life Scientists with an understanding/appreciation of the Molecular biology/Genetics research market. You will be an experienced and accomplished Team Leader/Supervisor and will be able to demonstrate an ability to generate sales through others. This exciting position comes with a highly attractive basic package and generous bonus scheme and whiles predominantly office based, will require about 25% travel (UK & Europe).

RESPONSIABILITIES:
• Lead sales personnel to develop the company sales targets
• Direct sales and lead generation via pro-active telephone work, printed and electronic media
• To conduct customer visits in line with service agreements and pro-active account management service
• Prepare sales reports for Senior Management Team
• Adopt sales management tools/processes to ensure strong pipeline of leads and new business opportunities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall business strategy
• Mentor staff in sales
• Liaise with field representatives to book visits, appointments and exhibitions
• Identify and take responsibility for developing new markets and products

Applicants will have strong solution selling skills and must be able to demonstrate strong team management ability (either internal or external teams) in a Life Science market and proven success developing sales growth through their team.
