- Forensic
- Educational
- Occupational.
For further information on how PULSE can help you with your career contact us on 01992 305 604 or email us at psychology.turnford@pulsejobs.com
Other Training
All other training is completed at Masters level, which means you will then need between 2-4 years supervised practice as a trainee before you can become fully qualified. As a rule, we unfortunately cannot assist you in finding trainee posts. Please note generally we cannot help people who have undergraduate (eg. bachelors) qualifications. The most desirable are doctorate level psychologists.
Approved Courses
Please click here for a list of courses which, upon completion, lead directly for eligibility to register with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
The Health Professions Council is the governing body for Psychologists, however it only came into play for Psychologists in July 09 and therefore is a work in progress. Psychologists can still work in the UK under the non-proected title of 'Psychologist' however cannot call themselves any protected titles (a list of protected titles can be found by clicking here).
The British Psychological Society (BPS) is the professional body for Psychologists but is non compulsary. However, we find it to be beneficial as it helps to keep you in touch with the profession.
