Biographies
Richard Macmillan – CEO
- 10 years international recruitment industry experience including 8 years with Adecco SA;
- Joined PULSE as Chief Executive Officer in January 2006;
- Prior to joining Pulse, was managing Director at Adecco and held responsibility for their UK, Ireland, India and South African operations;
- During his 4 years running the Adecco UK operation, operating profit improved from £9.5m in 2002 to £18.1m in 2004 through increasing both sales and gross margin % in the same period.
Tony Oliver – FD
- Experienced Finance Director with previous roles in a wide variety of sectors, including 4 years in recruitment as FD of Adecco UK
- Joined Pulse in January 2010 as Finance Director
- Prior to joining Pulse, was FD of Valassis Ltd, a marketing services company
Kate Harris, Commercial Director
Kate’s 12-year career in healthcare recruitment has seen her hold the position of Marketing Director since 1999 and she was appointed Commercial Director in 2006, taking responsibility for strategic marketing and commercial development and leading the Bid and Contracts Team.
Steve Aimson, Operations Director, Specialist
With over 10 years’ operational management and staffing experience, Steve has a significant track record in implementing and delivering large scale, complex, multi-site contracts. Steve has made a considerable contribution to the supply of general and specialist nursing staff throughout the UK since joining PULSE in 2006.
Marcella Pergande, Managing Director, PULSE London
Marcella established PULSE Nursing Agency in 1996 and has been instrumental in the company’s growth and development over the past twelve years. She completed her nursing degree at UCLH and undertook a BA in Business Management and has experience working in both the NHS & private healthcare sectors.
Joe Johal, Operations Director, Doctors and Allied Health professions
With over 16 years in the recruitment industry, largely at management level, Joe joined PULSE in 2006 and is highly experienced at managing both local and national recruitment solutions covering multi-site and extensive and intricate managed services provision. Joe has spent the last 2 years developing the Doctors Division into one of the key providers throughout the UK. From January 2009, Joe’s role will extend to take responsibility for the Allied Health and Health Science Services Division.
Jackie Lindsay, Head of Independent Living
Jackie has worked in Social Care Recruitment since 1995 and prior to joining PULSE was the Senior Business Manager for Reed Social Care covering three business units across the North of England. Prior to recruitment Jackie worked directly in Social Care as a Residential Care Worker, Hostel Worker, Project Co-ordinator and Service Development Officer.
Steve Twelftree, Operations Director, international & Managed Services
Steve has 12 years’ experience within the recruitment industry, specifically within Managed Services. Steve was Director of the Managed Services division of generalist staffing agency, Adecco, where he was responsible for the implementation and service delivery to all large corporate contracts for the company before joining PULSE in 2007.
