What is the King Hamad Univeristy Hospital?
The 311-bed King Hamad University Hospital is one of the principal teaching hospitals for the medical colleges of Bahrain, including the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain.
The new hospital has the latest in medical diagnostic techniques, treatments and facilities. All major specialties will be available as well as a full range of allied healthcare services. There are six operating theatres, a 12-bed intensive care unit, 34-bed accident & emergency unit and a dedicated paediatric unit. A helipad will allow for rapid patient transfer.
